Valco Melton, a world leader in adhesive dispensing and quality assurance systems, is seeking an entry-level Accountant to join the Accounting team at our Cincinnati headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on accounting experience and grow within a supportive environment.
In this role, you’ll work closely with other members of the Accounting team to ensure the accuracy of our financial records and assist with various accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role will provide exposure to key business operations and support process improvements, also giving you the chance to be involved in system upgrades and other department projects.

Note: this is a 100% in-office role that will be based at Valco Melton's main office in Cincinnati.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Help maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Contribute to the ongoing implementation and support of the ERP system (Sage X3), including data entry and validation.
- Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation as requested.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support business operations.
Required / Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required or expected within 6 months).
- Internship or academic experience with accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Experience with ERP systems (such as Sage X3) is a plus but not required.
- Interest in working within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
