What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUPERVISOR, FACILITIES - 2ND SHIFT position at Valcor Engineering Corporation?
JOB SUMMARY
At the direction of the Sr. Manager, Facilities & Maintenance, support all corporate facilities and its basic equipment including, but not limited to HVAC, CDA and test gas compressors, High voltage electrical power, high pressure gas plumbing, and performs special projects in support of the growth and expansion of the Corporation. Regularly is deployed to troubleshoot, diagnose plant and equipment issues in all facilities throughout the corporation. These assessments are typically used to determine the course of action for equipment repairs and necessary service. Handles emergency service and repair issues following appropriate evaluations, perform assigned tasks and duties, as well as any other tasks or projects as directed by the manager.
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Supervises and coordinates activities of skilled trades workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds.
• Evaluates problematic systems or facilities and determines the installation or repair services that need to be performed.
• Develops and organizes work schedules and assigns work activities to subordinates.
• Skilled (SME) in assessing industrial grade plumbing issues for potable water, cooling water and wastewater.
• Advanced skill (SME) in troubleshooting Industrial grade plumbing for high purity gases at ultra-high pressure.
• Subject Matter Expert in advanced level troubleshooting techniques and diagnosis of commercial/industrial HVAC systems. Uses analysis to make service and/or repair recommendations.
• Troubleshooting and the diagnosing problems with high and ultra-high pressure air compressors, ultra-high pressure N2 and helium compressors. Recommends solutions to management.
• Able to diagnose problems with CNC Machines and recommend appropriate solution alternatives to management. Facilitates the installation of new CNC machines
• Must have advanced levels of industrial high voltage electrical work experience, plus troubleshooting, diagnosis and Installation of electrical services.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Evaluates each worker's performance to ensure quality operations; and inspects completed work for conformance to specifications, and standards.
• Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices.
• May direct workers engaged in ground maintenance activities, such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, raking and disposing of leaves and refuse, and snow removal.
• May supervise custodial services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have at least 10 years’ experience in the field of facilities support and special projects management.
• Skilled (SME) in assessing industrial grade plumbing issues for potable water, cooling water and wastewater.
• Advanced skill (SME) in troubleshooting Industrial grade plumbing for high purity gases at ultra-high pressure.
• Must have advanced levels of industrial high voltage electrical work experience, plus troubleshooting, diagnosis and Installation of electrical services.
EQUIPIMENT/MACHINERY USED
Strong knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic control systems and components.
