What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Supervisor/Project Manager position at Valcourt Group Company?
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and plan work strategies with the Project Manager before and during the project to comply with schedules and budgets.
- Define project purpose and scope to accomplish construction project results.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following guidelines, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure job site safety at all times.
- Ensure the job site has adequate equipment/tools in good working condition.
- Provide workers with the correct PPE according to each task before work commences.
- Ensure all permits, approved/stamped drawings, worker certificates, and work log sheets are on-site before work commences.
- Prepare material orders according to approved submittals, ensuring proper quantities and inspecting all delivered materials before use.
- Review and discuss all repair details from approved drawings with the Job Site Foreman and workers before work commences.
- Delegate the proper crew size and skilled workers according to the type of work to be performed.
- Track and control worker performance and work production to comply with the schedule and budget.
- Perform quality control of all work at all stages, detecting and correcting deficiencies promptly.
- Accomplish construction human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, and training field workers.
- Manage subcontractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting contractors.
- Prepare for and assist with work site meetings and inspections with architects, engineers, and owners.
- Comply with project work schedules and completion dates.
- Prevent fines and work interruptions by complying with and enforcing codes.
- Collect all work information and quantities for change orders and billing as required.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- [Number] years of experience in exterior construction/restoration, with a preference for masonry, waterproofing, and roofing. Experience in high-rise building restoration is ideal.
- Valid driver’s license.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid 32-hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor certification or at least 16-hour Suspended Scaffold User certification.
- Valid 32-hour Supported Scaffold Supervisor certification or at least 4-hour user certification.
- Valid SST Training Supervisor (60-hour card).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
