Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Stone Polishing and Refinishing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with natural stone surfaces, including marble, granite, limestone, and other types of stone. As a Stone Polishing and Refinishing Technician, you will be responsible for restoring the appearance of stone surfaces by polishing, honing, and refinishing them to a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform stone polishing, honing, and refinishing on various surfaces, including countertops, floors, and walls.
- Use specialized tools and equipment, such as diamond pads, polishing machines, and abrasives, to restore stone surfaces.
- Assess the condition of stone surfaces and recommend appropriate treatment methods.
- Clean and prepare stone surfaces prior to restoration, ensuring a smooth and consistent finish.
- Apply sealers, waxes, and other protective coatings to protect surfaces after refinishing.
- Maintain equipment and tools to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Work with clients to assess their needs and provide the highest quality stone restoration services.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain detailed records of the work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in stone polishing, refinishing, or restoration preferred.
- Knowledge of different types of stone (marble, granite, limestone, etc.) and their specific care requirements.
- Ability to work with various polishing and restoration equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Safety-conscious with a strong understanding of safety protocols in stone care.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Certification in stone restoration or refinishing (e.g., from the Stone Restoration Institute or similar organizations).
- Knowledge of advanced stone repair techniques (crack repairs, chip repairs, etc.).
