Description
To manage, supervise, and coordinate the daily field operations of multiple G.B. Group projects and Foremen, and other related field personnel, to ensure completion of the projects on time, within budget constraints and at the highest safety, customer service, and quality levels possible.
Job Duties:
The below applies to monitoring both in-house GBG crews and all subcontractors.
• To plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day operations of all field activities on assigned construction project(s) to assure the timely completion of the project within the budget and necessary quality levels.
• Direct and lead the work of all employees on project.
• Implement the job schedule, plan, and forecast the daily activities according to the project schedule. Proactively contact each Subcontractor to schedule their work accordingly.
• Maintains and inspects quality control.
• Inspect work to comply with company, construction documents, and manufacturer standards.
• Ensure safety protocols are being adhered to and enforced. For example: all PPE is being worn, scaffold inspections completed daily, weekly safety tailgate meetings, fall protections are set-up correctly and being used, equipment is inspected, etc. Complete a JHA form and review with crews for each project.
• Participate in Safety Program.
• Price check, purchase and maintain material stock. Confirm and ensure it is projects specified materials only. Ensure any emergency response materials are onsite before inclement weather is forecasted.
• Enforce company policies and procedures in a respectful and professional manner. Immediately report and document any incidents to HR and supervisor.
• Prepare and submit all updated personnel information/forms to HR.
• Complete and present employee 90-day and annual reviews to supervisor.
• Respond to and promptly solve the on-site problems as they arise as necessary.
• Requires effective and professional communication skills (written/verbal/reading) to develop and maintain cooperative attitudes with and between various representatives involved with the project.
• Provide professional written communication responses within a timely manner.
• Able to traverse ladders (up and down including extension ladder), scaffolding and roofs.
• Must be able to read plans, specs, and product applications.
• Check with administrative team on weekly basis to ensure any open administrative tasks are complete (RFI’s, Budgets, Projections, RFC’s, etc.).
• Interpret, clarify, and prepare construction documents as needed.
• Implement subcontractor agreement as forwarded overseeing activities to ensure compliance with agreement subcontractor labor forces.
• Collaborate with providing data for Submittals, RFI, RFC’s, Budgets, Billings, Projections, etc.
• Responsible to clock in and out crews’ hours, as designated. Required to confirm crews hours every Monday between 8AM-12PM.
• Complete preliminary new hire interviews. Send completed applications and new hire information to supervisor for processing to HR. Upon approval, coordinate the new applicants attendance at the new hire orientation.
• Report weather or any delays of any kind to supervisor and Contract Administrator.
• Ensure work phone is always accessible in case of emergency response calls. Assist with dispatching crews and picking up materials to respond to emergency calls. In the event of prescheduled ATO, please ensure you have a back-up assigned to respond to ER calls.
