JOB PURPOSE:
REPORTS TO:
Foreman / Superintendent
DUTIES:
- Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, rebuilds, constructs, and maintains woodwork
and other related structures.
PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiar with a variety of carpentry concepts, practices, and procedures within the
carpentry field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Familiar with tools, materials and supplies required to complete tasks.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Directs and leads the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is
required.
- Requires standard communication skills (written/verbal/reading).
- Requires all hand-held tools and most power tools.
- Able to lift and hold / move 100 pounds.
- Must be able to solve advanced math principals to produce sufficient problem
solving for carpentry.
- Able to traverse ladders (up and down including extension ladder), scaffolding
and roofs.
- Must be able to read plans and specs.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical
inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and
proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of on concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
form.
OTHER SKILLS:
- Working knowledge and experience with project plans, specifications,
construction industry standards and building codes.
