College graduate with a Civil or Structural Engineering Degree, 0-3 years of experience working in civil engineering, structural engineering or architectural field. You will interface with client engineering representatives and other Valdes discipline engineers.

Responsibilities:
- Entry level knowledge within the civil/structural engineering or architectural discipline with the capabilities and the initiative to perform the tasks with supervisory/mentor assistance
- Design shallow foundations
- Design individual pipe supports and pipe rack type structures
- Design basic structural steel access platforms with ladder or stair details
- Develop basic structural connections
- Learn design codes and follow established design criteria
- Have a basic understanding of structural analysis software
- Manage his or her own time to stay within the project allotted budget
- Coordinate engineering details/drafting with department designer staff to develop project design drawings
- Review vendor concrete reinforcement and structural steel shop fabrication drawings
- Learn to develop and review project specifications
- Verify field conditions, constructability of designs, and assist in resolving problems during field construction
- May be required to participate in short or long term field assignments
- All other duties as assigned
- Entry level knowledge of civil/structural engineering or architectural design
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity of AutoCAD software
- Familiarity with Risa-3D and STAADPro analysis software a plus
- Solid Microsoft Office skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in civil or structural engineering or architecture
- Experience: 0-3 Years of experience working as a civil or structural engineer
- EIT license preferred
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) license preferred and on track to obtaining a Professional License (PE) preferred
- Must be able to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship
- Eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
