We are seeking a highly experienced Chemical Engineer to provide input to business development and upfront project execution efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of process technologies and standard refining processes.
We are seeking a highly experienced Chemical Engineer to provide input to business development and upfront project execution efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of process technologies and standard refining processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation on process issues and designs
- Identify alternate process technologies and develop conceptual process designs
- Conduct inter-discipline reviews and collect process data to inform design decisions
- Develop complex process simulations and relief device scenarios
- Develop and evaluate process control strategies
- Manage process projects of varying complexity and write process department ECN's
- Participate in Process Hazard Analysis and develop material balances
Technical Competencies:
- Understanding and ability to apply basic fundamentals in Chemical Engineering, including fluid dynamics, chemistry, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, process unit operations and separations
- Ability to understand PFD and P&ID symbology, layout, standards and workflow
- Knowledgeable of physical property estimation packages and able to develop process simulations
- Able to read, understand, and utilize piping isometrics and plot plans for hydraulic calculations
- Demonstrate the ability to perform and document process calculations that can be easily checked
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering
- 15 years of experience in the chemical and refining process industries
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $130,000 - $200,000 per year
