What are the responsibilities and job description for the Final Inspection Supervisor position at VALDESE WEAVERS LLC?
Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.
Job Summary:
Manage and maintain the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Final Inspection
department while achieving company goals and fulfilling customer expectations.
Essential Functions:
Supervise assigned departments in all shifts to meet all quality and production goals.
Maintain attendance, production, and quality reporting. Provide information to Payroll, Human Resources, and other management as requested.
Complete employee evaluations.
Evaluate employee training and daily productivity to ensure the associate is meeting the expectations of the job.
Manage, monitor, and work with HR on maintaining proper headcount of the department to ensure the attainment of company goals.
Follow company policy in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, reprimanding, and terminating employees.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety:
Safely perform all duties following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor as soon as possible.
Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
Maintain 5S standards.
PPE as Required by policy and guidelines.
