Winder Operator

Job Summary: Will wind quality packages of yarn for Weave Room. Maintain efficiency as determined by Department/Plant Managers.

Tools and Equipment used: Utility knife, scissors, knotter, and apron.

Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:

• Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.

• Wind yarn onto cones for Weave Room.

• Report spindles making bad yarn to the fixer.

• Report bad yarn to the department supervisor/manager.

• Pack yarn in yarn bins at winder.

• Put color identification stickers in cones of yarn.

• Make the required quality checks.

• Keep winder area housekeeping in good order.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
