Description
Job Summary :
Manage customer communications via phone, email, and internet portals, enter purchase orders, provide delivery information, prices, and contents, and route calls to the proper area.
Essential Functions :
- Enter all customer orders using the Order Entry System, making sure all orders have correct information such as prices, finish, special shipping instructions, customer account number, name, telephone number, and any special delivery information.
- Periodically review order status and address orders that are going off-schedule with appropriate Logistics contacts and provide updates to customers.
- Generate or fill in customer-specific open order reports as required.
- Update and maintain information in the customer portal as required.
- Manage finished inventory stock plans for customers where applicable; allocating available stock to new orders and entering replenishment orders
- Manage Contract OEM customer forecasts and daily status reports for shortages
- Maintain all customer correspondence such as acknowledgments, address changes, customer contacts, email addresses, etc.
- Maintain customer-specific files for the price, discounts, finishes, piece sizes, and weight tables.
- Manage internal logistics of new product samples- and stock orders. Follow up and ensure that these orders are managed through all systems and departments as promised to the customer.
- Work closely with sales staff on special orders and delivery.
