What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Analyst position at Valdese Weavers?
Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.
Job Summary: Material creation, verification and cost for new materials.
Tools and Equipment used: Tab winder, computer, SAP, yarn tabs
Essential Functions:
- Verify fillings and warps for all new production material records.
- Create and maintain Design and Post fabric files.
- Process lines and inquiries for all brands collaboratively with Sales Support, Customer Service and Merchandising.
- Maintain initial trial and additional ground fabric files for development materials.
- Create original costing quotes for all production materials.
- Maintain pricing records for all production materials per approval from Sales Management.
- Enter and expedite sales orders for inquiry and/or line weaving needs.
- Any other duties or special projects requested by management.
Other Requirements:
- Maintain personal work habits, which will meet the demands and stresses of the job.
- Assist with the yarn tab process.
Safety:
- Safely perform all duties following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
- Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
- Maintain 5S standards.
- PPE Required: earplugs.
Qualifications:
- Meet all pre-employment requirements
- Proficient computer skills required
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others
- Ability to distinguish yarn color differences
- Detailed, organized, multi-tasking
