Basketball Scorekeeper
Salary: $11.00 per Hour
Classification: Part-Time
Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority is accepting applications for the position of Scorekeeper. Scorekeepers assist VLPRA Supervisors with the delivery of youth sports including Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, and more. Right now we are looking for scorekeepers who can help out with Basketball. That said we would be excited to meet any enthusiastic, sports minded applicants who are willing to learn how to work with our Youth Sports program.
This position works mostly weekday afternoons and weekends.
The keys to success in this position are dressing appropriately, staying off your phone while working, being present minded and alert on the job, and most importantly bringing a positive attitude to work.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or current enrollment in high school
- Applicant must be 16 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid Georgia State Driver’s license and/or have reliable transportation to any assigned site in Lowndes County
- A successful applicant will be passionate about the sport and players at all levels
- Knowledge of the sport is preferable
Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority is a drug-free workplace. A pre-employment drug screen, criminal history background investigation, and a Motor Vehicle Report will be conducted.
