Vehicle Acquisition Manager (Full Time – Valdosta Toyota)

Summary:

Valdosta Toyota is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Vehicle Acquisition Manager to join our Management team. This full-time role is pivotal in sourcing and procuring high-quality pre-owned vehicles for our dealership's inventory, primarily through participation in auto auctions and other acquisition channels. This position includes a base hourly pay but is primarily performance-based, with $200–$400 earned for each vehicle successfully purchased, offering substantial earning potential for high performers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Sourcing: Represent Valdosta Toyota in the acquisition of vehicles that align with our inventory needs and quality standards.
• Vehicle Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of potential acquisitions, considering factors such as vehicle condition, history, market demand, and resale value.
• Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate purchase terms to secure favorable deals that meet the dealership's financial objectives.
• Market Analysis: Stay informed about current automotive market trends, pricing fluctuations, and consumer preferences to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
• Inventory Management Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and inventory management teams to ensure a balanced and appealing selection of vehicles is available for customers.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all vehicle purchases, including costs, sourcing details, and any reconditioning requirements.
• Vendor Relationships: Develop and nurture relationships with auction houses, wholesalers, and other potential vehicle sources to expand acquisition opportunities.
• Compliance: Ensure all acquisitions comply with dealership policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in vehicle acquisition, automotive sales, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle valuation, market dynamics, and auction processes.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using inventory management software and online auction platforms.
• Physical Ability: Capable of conducting vehicle inspections, which may involve standing for extended periods and working in various environmental conditions.

Compensation:

• Hourly Base Pay plus Performance Bonuses: $200–$400 per vehicle purchased, providing substantial earning potential based on performance.

Schedule:

• Hours: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Flexibility: Occasional flexibility may be required to attend specific auctions or meet acquisition deadlines.
