Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.
Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards and specifications; inspecting, testing, and analyzing products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Review internal and external Non-Conforming Products, ensure proper completion/documentation and accurate disposition in compliance with the customer and OEM requirements.
- Respond to assigned Root Cause and Corrective Actions Requests (internal and external) related to technical processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Interpret and apply technical drawings, specifications, and standards to assess product quality.
- Facilitate and coordinate any quality activities between Quality Engineering and other departments (production, engineering, …).
- Perform Internal Audits (weekly spot audits, customer and/or Nadcap checklists, etc…)
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Execution, reporting results, and follow-up.
- Compile, write, and deliver training material on quality standards and activities including testing methods. Train employes on procedures (PDS, aids, procedures).
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Must have 3 years previous Quality experience preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to identify deviations from standards and ensure a quality product.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
- Experienced with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
