General Position Description
Provides specialized student services for international students. Responsible for immigration, academic, and personal advising, new student immigration programming and facilitation, promotion of social and cultural activities to students, and helping to create opportunities for student engagement within the college and the community. Works as part of a team to support international students and supervises international enrollment support staff.

1. Provides students with necessary pre-arrival information, facilitates new student orientations, and coordinates new student orientation programming.

3. Advises international students in F-1 and J-1 status on immigration regulations. Serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO).

5. Processes and maintains student records in SEVIS, institutional databases, and student files.

6. Manages implementation, maintenance, and procedures for accurate and timely reporting to comply with immigration regulations and SEVIS reporting requirements.

7. Provides academic advising as it relates to educational programs, including managing students on academic probation. Serves as liaison between the students and faculty and assists students having academic difficulty in utilizing all available resources.
