PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Valen USA is a leading manufacturer of custom cabinet doors and drawer boxes and a supplier to some of the most recognizable kitchen and closet brands in the industry. Based in Lexington, NC, for over 35 years we have been a leading source for quality crafted wooden drawer boxes and decorative 5-piece doors throughout North America, with customers in the cabinet, office furniture, closet systems, hospitality, heath care, and store fixture industries.
We are currently looking for a qualified Production Supervisor with strong leadership skills and a quality-driven focus on production. If you are an experienced production team lead, we would love to hear from you.
You are a good candidate if you excel at managing production lines and leading a team to meet or exceed productivity goals and quality expectations. If you have strong process improvement and problem-solving skills. An understanding of lean manufacturing and production flow is an important function of this supervisor role. General woodworking or cabinet making experience is an absolute plus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of production and employees.
- Handle issues in a timely and professional manner to ensure best possible solutions
- Uphold the team to meet safety, quality and productivity standards
- Lead, mentor and manage production workers on new operations and techniques
- Track productivity and ensure schedule and quality expectations are met
- Build a culture of trust and integrity through open and respectful communication to all levels and departments in the company
- Foster a safe work environment through maintaining plant safety procedures, including training, coaching and discipline.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of experience as a production supervisor
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality, productivity and manufacturing processes
- Understanding of history of implementing quality focused manufacturing principles
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
- Customer focused approach to getting it right

SALARY
$18.00 to $22.00 hourly pay commensurate with experience with regular O.T. available.
