What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armed Security Officer position at Valentis?
Valentis Security is looking for part time and full time armed security officers. Part time shifts will be weekends (daylight and overnight). We are offering a $1000 signing bonus after completing a successful 90 day probationary period for full time hires. Additional details will be provided at time of application.

- Am I required to qualify with my firearm even though I qualify annually with OPOTA? Yes you are required to qualify annually with your firearm on our course of fire. Our qualification standards are different.
- Am I required to be certified with OC, Taser, or Baton? Yes, but if you do not have current certification we provide the training/cert in-house at no charge. We do accept some outside training modules, so please inquire with us.
- Do you require CPR/AED certification? Yes, but we provide the certification in-house at no charge.
- What type of equipment do I need? Level II duty holster, one intermediate impact weapon (OC, Baton, or Taser), handcuffs (with case and key), duty belt, belt keepers, and two spare magazines. In addition you must have black boots or work shoes.
- Is body armor required? It is strongly recommended.
- Do you provide uniforms? Yes.
- Does my rate of pay increase? Yes providing you complete all of the required training and by achieving other benchmarks. The initial pay rate will be $16.00 per hour.
