Event Staff – Armed Security (Seasonal)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Valetis Group Inc, is seeking professional Event Staff - Armed Security personnel to join our team. Candidates MUST POSSESS A VALID/CURRENT PA ACT 235 license. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property at a variety of venues, including concerts, conferences, sporting events, and private functions in the Pittsburgh, PA area. The ideal candidate will have prior security experience, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.

• This is a seasonal/temporary position (to start in March 2025) and requires a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules
• May require working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must be able to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods
• Company-paid training and uniforms will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor event entrances and exits, ensuring only authorized individuals enter designated areas.
• Conduct security checks, including bag inspections and ID verification, as required.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activities or disruptive behavior.
• Assist with crowd control, directing foot traffic, and ensure emergency exits remain clear.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, or medical emergencies and follow established protocols.
• Follow all state and federal firearm regulations and company safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with event organizers, fellow security staff, and emergency responders.
• Provide guidance and assistance to guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Enforce venue rules and regulations while maintaining a professional customer-service approach.
• Document and report any incidents, safety concerns, or suspicious activities.
• Enforce required security protocols set forth by Valentis and specific venue sites.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed and certified to carry a firearm in the state of Pennsylvania (ACT 235).
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
• Strong observational skills and the ability to remain alert in dynamic environments.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum of High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must pass background checks and meet any state or venue-specific safety requirements.
