About This Opportunity:
As an Entry Level Scrum Master, you'll play a key role in keeping our Agile teams running smoothly. You'll work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to remove roadblocks, encourage continuous improvement, and drive accountability.
Things You’ll Do Here:
- Support the Product Owner in effective backlog management, refining user stories, and ensuring clear prioritization for upcoming sprints and releases
- Track and monitor sprint progress, adherence to commitments, and key Agile metrics (e.g., burndown charts, velocity) to provide visibility and identify opportunities for improvement
- Serve as a bridge between the Scrum team, Product Owners, Stakeholders, and other teams to ensure alignment on requirements, priorities, and dependencies
- Proactively identify and address obstacles that could hinder the team's progress, escalating issues as needed while fostering a problem-solving mindset within the team
- Encourage a culture of learning, experimentation, and adaptability by facilitating retrospectives that lead to actionable improvements
- Educate and mentor team members on Agile principles, Scrum best practices, and self-organization to enhance team maturity
- Identify and coordinate interdependencies with other teams to ensure efficient workflows and seamless delivery
- Promote transparency, accountability, and collaboration, empowering the team to take ownership of their work while fostering a psychologically safe environment
- Mediate discussions, facilitate decision-making, and help the team navigate challenges constructively
- Leverage Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally) to enhance team collaboration, track progress, and maintain visibility into workflows
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve team efficiency, quality, and delivery through Agile best practices and feedback loops
- Stay current with Agile methodologies, frameworks, and industry trends
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- 3 years working in a team setting with demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong interest the field and a proven ability to quickly learn
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Advanced problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Skilled in using metrics to evaluate team performance and monitor progress effectively
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required within 90 days of hire
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Work Environment: You’ll need a quiet workspace that is free from distractions
- Technology: Reliable internet connection—if you can use streaming services, you’re good to go!
- Security: Adherence to company security protocols, including the use of VPNs, secure passwords, and company-approved devices/software
- Location: You must be US based, in a location where you can work effectively and comply with company policies such as HIPAA
