Responsibilities

The Individual Placement Support (IPS)/Workforce Development Specialist (WDS) provider is a member of the ACT team which specializes within the ACT team. The IPS/WDS has primary responsibility for providing support services for participants involved in Supported Employment Services who has a severe and persistent mental illness. The main function of this position is to assist the participant to Choose, Obtain, and Maintain individualized employment in the community. The focus of the IPS/WDS provider is to support participants with severe and persistent mental illness to obtain employment. This position is directly responsible to and supervised by the Manager of the Supported Employment Program. The IPS/WDS works with a multi-disciplinary team to provide and coordinate optimal services for the ACT team person served.

Job Requirements

This position requires a BA/BS degree in a relevant filed and/or equivalent experience. Experience in working with persons with mental illness preferred. Preference in human resources, employment and staffing services, and/or staff training and development. Strong verbal and written skills required. Knowledge of community resources, strong documentation skills required. Valid Kansas driver’s license, access to reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. This position requires basic computer skills, the ability to sit for long periods of time to complete data entry, and the ability to lift at least twenty-five pounds. Must be able to pass pre-employment background checks and KDCF Adult/child Abuse Registries.

Salary Range

$22.97 – $25.47 – $29.16

Hours

Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
