Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced skilled Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire sprinkler fitting and installation, with the ability to read blueprints and work with various tools. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems in commercial and residential buildings.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems according to local codes and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of piping systems.
- Perform pipe threading, welding, and rigging as required for installation projects.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively and safely in various work environments.
- Conduct inspections of existing systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
- Willing to travel.
- Must be drug free.
Experience
- Proven experience in fire sprinkler fitting or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Familiarity with calipers and other measuring tools for precise installation work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to safety practices and procedures while on the job site.
- Must have all PPE.
- Must be a team player.
