Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Construction Worker to join our team. We are looking for a jack-of-all-trades candidate with at least two years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across multiple construction tasks, including framing, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general site work. This role requires adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
Duties
- Perform a variety of construction-related tasks, including but not limited to framing, drywall, painting, carpentry, demolition, and general repairs.
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to execute assigned tasks accurately.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to meet deadlines and project goals.
- Follow all safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Troubleshoot and address basic construction-related issues as they arise.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites.
Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general construction or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in multiple trades such as framing, drywall, carpentry, painting, concrete work, or finishing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different tasks and project requirements.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Familiarity with common construction tools and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites (preferred but not required).
