Dry Mill Ethanol Plant Operator Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Dry Mill Ethanol Plant Operator to join our team at the Valero Lakota Ethanol Plant. As a Dry Mill Ethanol Plant Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of an assigned area of the production process within the plant.
About the Role
This hourly non-exempt position involves working on-site, in-person at the Valero Lakota Ethanol Plant, and being responsible for monitoring and controlling plant operations. You will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth execution of daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control plant operations to ensure safe and efficient execution of daily activities.
- Review production and quality metrics regularly to identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in projects that improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Document and monitor process variables, sample data, and routine tasks to ensure plant operations are maintained within operating parameters.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree in Process Technology or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in the operation of a dry-mill ethanol plant preferred.
