Sr. Environmental Engineer

Description

Ensures the Refinery complies with the Environmental Protection Agency's rules and regulations.

• Ensures the handling and disposal of hazardous materials and solid waste are accomplished within Environmental Protection Agency's rules and regulations.
• Ensures Refinery compliance with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, National Emissions Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants, Air Quality Standards established by Environmental Protection Agency, and guidelines established by the Department of Transportation for training and shipping / handling products.
• Collects samples of various products / waste in the Refinery as dictated by the various environmental programs.
• Completes reports for state and federal Regulatory Agencies, and maintains the appropriate documentation.
• Conducts weekly and monthly Plant inspections to ensure compliance with all Regulatory Agencies, including tank seal inspections.
• Ensures metal in the refinery is recycled.
• Enforces all corrective actions and oversees testing related to ground water issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
