Maintenance Specialist

Job Overview

At Valero Renewables, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a critical member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in and lead maintenance programs to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production and shipping/receiving departments to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Work closely with engineering, contractors, and vendors to install new equipment and address maintenance-related issues.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex maintenance problems.
• Support new installations and projects as requested by supervisors.
• Stay up-to-date on city, county, state, and federal regulations related to maintenance and plant equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance (pumps, valves, compressors, conveying equipment, etc.) necessary.
• Welding experience on carbon/stainless steel preferred.
• Experience in dry-mill ethanol plant maintenance functions preferred.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
