The Associate Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer is responsible for the assessment, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, delivery, and on-going support for robotic automation solutions across the Commercial Supply & Trading teams. The RPA developer will lead projects that streamline processes and act as liaison between IT department and various business teams within the organization. Daily duties may include:
- Coordinates customer engagement to facilitate process improvement initiatives across the commercial floor.
- Follows Valero RPA best practices to design and develop technical solutions that meet customer needs using UiPath.
- Creates and maintains process design documentation for newly created solutions.
- Creates and executes user acceptance test scripts.
- Delivers customer support and monitor process stability.
- Ensures deliverables and deployments are meet in a timely matter.
- Manages KPI (Key Performance indicators) for on-demand/monthly reports.
- Demonstrates a foundational understanding of the client environment and overall project scope in order to be able to develop a solution architecture and scope of work
- Facilitates process improvement initiatives that reduce supply chain costs across the commercial floor

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field by May 2025 required.
- Experience in the following area(s): Development using UiPath, Blue Prism, Python or Automation Anywhere preferred.
- Coding knowledge and experience with VBA, python and SQL languages preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP-TSW and BOBJ Reporting preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience communicating highly technical process to non-technical audiences preferred.
- Able and willing to work onsite and in-person at Valero's headquarters in San Antonio, TX required.
