Associate Supply Chain Analysis Analyst

Valero is looking for an Associate Supply Chain Analysis Analyst to join the Supply Chain Analysis Team at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. The Associate Supply Chain Analysis Analyst supports Supply Chain Management (SCM) supplier self-reconciliation program and ensures the maximum recovery of monies due Valero from those suppliers who are obligated to perform payroll self-reconciliations, volume rebates, and/or project discounts. They identify, contact, monitor, review, analyze, calculate, and coordinate recoveries based on responses from majority of supplier base. They also support the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Analysis team for spend, labor, and other reporting needs.

Major accountabilities may include:

• Reviews calculations of supplier self-reconciliations for base wages, payroll taxes, and volume/project based discounts to ensure maximum recovery is achieved.
• Works with SCM contract managers and suppliers to facilitate the highest recovery for Valero.
• Communicates with suppliers, tracks responses to ensure compliance, and reports results to management.
• Provides vendor spend and/or labor reports to SCM personnel and other corporate areas as requested.
• Generates, summarizes, and relays key data to various internal departments by performing data mining, data manipulation, and/or analysis.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s or higher level degree preferred.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Proficiency with computer-based tools (Microsoft Office products, SAP, BW, Business Objects, and other query tools) for performing analyses preferred.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel required.
• Experience in procurement, accounting, or finance roles preferred.
• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
