What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refinery Operator Trainee - McKee position at Valero?
Handles duties in assigned area. Provides data to optimize operating environment and achieve refinery goals. Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains equipment and/or writes a work order for maintenance to repair through computer program, SAP. Repairs and maintenance may include removal and installation of safety valves, blinding/clearing/de-blinding of equipment. Maintains tools, work area, and equipment in good condition and keeps work area in a clean orderly condition. Works independently in a changeable environment.
This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Required to be 18 years of age.
- Required to be authorized to work in the United States.
- Refinery or petrochemical experience preferred.
- Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero McKee Refinery, required.
