Sr. Control Systems Engineer

• Troubleshoots and maintains DCS (Foxboro I/A) systems and associated equipment. Assist with routine hardware and software maintenance of Foxboro I/A DCS systems. Provide startup assistance and associated DCS control modifications.
• Develops and implements process control schemes and control techniques.Designs control systems for all types of refinery equipment and processes.Tunes existing process controllers.
• Designs and maintains operator interface to computer supervisory controls.
• Recommends changes to process design, unit operation or process control design to improve unit operation or as required for advanced control projects.
• Performs economic evaluations on project scoping and lookback efforts.Develops scope for control and advanced process control projects.Develops and implements advanced DCS calculations and programs.Maintains and optimizes advanced process control programs.
• Coordinate and contribute to DCS lifecycle projects
• Assists process engineers in unit troubleshooting.
• Develops and maintains Control Systems implementations and maintenance procedures.
• Closely work with PLC, Cyber and Instrumentation personnel to successfully execute projects.

• Bachelor's or higher level degree in Engineering required.
• 5 years of process control/advanced process control field experience required.
• Process engineering experience preferred.
• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Bill Greehey Refinery, required.
