Valet Parking Attendant

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the parking area
• Park and retrieve vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain accurate records of vehicles parked and retrieved
• Collect and account for parking fees
• Assist guests with luggage, directions, and other requests as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized parking area
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
• Follow established safety protocols and traffic regulations while operating vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of parking equipment and facilities
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for guests.

Skill Requirements and Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license: A valid driver's license is required to operate the vehicles being parked and retrieved.
• Clean driving record: Employers typically require a clean driving record, meaning no major traffic violations or accidents.
• Customer service skills: As a valet parking attendant, you will be interacting with guests frequently, so strong customer service skills are essential.
• Physical stamina: Valet parking attendants may be required to stand for long periods of time and must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy luggage.
• Attention to detail: Parking and retrieving vehicles requires attention to detail to avoid any damage to the vehicle or surrounding objects.
• Professionalism: Valet parking attendants are often the first point of contact for guests and must maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Availability: Valet parking attendants are often required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, so availability during those times may be required.
