Telecommunications Construction Equipment Operator

Job Summary
The Telecommunications Equipment Operator plays a vital role in ensuring effective communication and coordination within the construction site. This position requires an individual who is adept at operating various heavy equipment and facilitating smooth operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in handling equipment such as vibratory plows, mini X, hydrovac and trucks.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment including Plow, Mini-X, Hydrovac on construction sites.
• Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure efficient communication and workflow.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in the operation of other equipment and other machinery as required for fiber network construction.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Document equipment usage and report any malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team.
• Collaborate with team members to execute construction tasks effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in equipment operation, relative to telecom construction.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing job requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
