Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team in conducting WHOLE BODY COMPOSITION DXA SCANS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This role is critical in supporting our urgent care and emergency medicine services, including work in both Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. The Radiologic Technologist will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures - WHOLE BODY COMPOSITION DXA SCANS/
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging processes.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining the procedure and answering any questions.
- Operate radiologic equipment safely and effectively while adhering to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
- Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and best practices in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
Experience
- Previous experience in conducting DXA scans is MANDATORY. Experience in using GE LUNAR iDXA is a plus.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes is essential.
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program is mandatory, along with appropriate state licensure.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
