JOB DESCRIPTION:
Valiant is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to act as the liaison between operations, maintenance, engineering, project management, planning, and contractors with regard to the development of the weekly maintenance work schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates priority setting with the management team - places specific emphasis on obtaining the input of operations personnel in the setting of priorities
- Accurately measure the maintenance backlog in its various forms and continually maintains not less than 2 weeks' worth of ready backlog at all times.
- Participates in the scheduling process, attends scheduling meetings in order to communicate backlog and priorities, and compiles the information into the weekly skilled trades work schedule.
- Measures and takes actions to ensure the highest possible resource utilization in developing the weekly work schedule
- Measures and reports on schedule compliance on a weekly basis - constantly seeking new ways to improve schedule compliance and wrench time
- Primary measure of success is schedule compliance
- Communicates with maintenance supervisors on schedule changes and daily coordination issues
- Documents and publishes the weekly work schedule following the scheduling meeting
- Oversees the scheduling of proactive work to include predictive and preventative work. Notifies the management team of the shortcomings in execution of these tasks. Measures and reports RCM and PM completion percentages on a regular schedule
- Participates in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk assessment, execution, and continuous improvement
- Participates with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program on improvement projects, particularly when they are related to the proactive maintenance plan (RCM and PM)
- Compiles and delivers reports from DMLSS regarding the work execution management process
- Assist with procurement program activities, such as ordering receiving material within the computer system. Also, perform the duties as needed to purchase and order materials.
- Assist with the Quality Control and ISO program as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5 years of work experience in the skilled trades
- 3 years of experience as a planner/scheduler related to facility operations and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Some level of supervisory experience is desirable
- Consideration will be given to individuals with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills preferred:
o DMLSS software
o Spreadsheet and Word Processing (Excel, Word)
o Project Management Software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
o Email
o Able to efficiently perform internet searches and research
o Able to read and interpret vendor manuals and drawings
o Able to communicate clearly and effectively with skilled trades personnel, vendors, OEM suppliers, and management personnel
o Able to develop and deliver a clear and concise presentation when required
o Committed to safety and teamwork.

o Ability to learn and apply maintenance best practices.
o Ability to organize and plan tasks
o Self Directing - Able to work towards specific goals and objectives with limited daily oversight
o Planners are responsible for identifying, assessing, and planning the execution of work. The Planner must have a minimum of three years of experience as a planner related to facility operations and maintenance.
o Schedulers are responsible for publishing a schedule of planned and unplanned jobs during a defined period of time in order to optimize the use of resources within their constraints. The Scheduler must have a minimum of three years of experience as a scheduler related to facility operations and maintenance.

Salary : $45,200 - $57,200
