Procurement & Sourcing Manager

Valiant Products Corp is a premier nationwide player in the procurement and manufacturing of Hotel FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) and is seeking a Procurement & Sourcing Manager to join our team!

Objective :

The Procurement & Sourcing Manager plays a key role in the success of the company by utilizing strategic sourcing initiatives to develop product lines, optimize product costs, enhance supplier performance and support the company’s objectives. Through excellent communication and strong negotiation skills the Procurement & Sourcing Manager influences vendor relations, leverages effective procurement practices and causes the best possible outcome for the company. The Procurement & Sourcing Manager works with our Sales Department, Interior Design Department and Project Management Department in the endeavor to ensure high performance as we implement hotel FF&E projects. You will provide a significant impact to the company’s bottom line and report directly to the company’s President.

Key Responsibilities :

Vendor Relationships

  • Effectively partner with existing vendors and manufacturers in the USA and abroad to build strong and collaborative relationships
  • Vet potential new vendors and manufacturers to ensure a good fit for the company
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, quality benchmarks and other expectations with vendors and manufacturers

Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop supply chain strategies and initiatives supporting the objectives of the company
  • Collaborate with the company’s Sales and Marketing department to determine new products and new vendors to target
  • Research and analyze the hotel FF&E marketplace to find the vendors and manufacturers with the most favorable pricing and performance characteristics
  • Conduct RFPs and other bidding processes to determine the best suppliers for the company to utilize to provide our customers the best possible results

    • Merchandising

  • Produce and maintain product catalog for use by the sales force and its customers
  • Develop new products to keep the company on the cutting edge of innovation
  • Negotiate and set up ongoing product programs meeting the requirements of various hotel brands

    • Project Procurement

  • Utilize product design specifications to garner competitive quotes for hotel FF&E products for projects up to millions of dollars in value
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery with multiple vendors within multiple product categories
  • Strategically determine the best vendors for the project based on specific criteria and project requirements

    • Claims / Problem Resolution

  • Review customer claims to determine the solutions that are in the best interest of the company and its customers
  • Investigate product deficiencies and work with vendors to promptly resolve the deficiencies
  • Leverage the company’s buying power to encourage appropriate and effective resolutions
  • Review vendor performance and implement corrective actions to ensure ongoing quality

    • Risk Management

  • Regularly assess the FF&E marketplace to be aware of potential geopolitical and economic factors that may affect the supply chain
  • Negotiate contracts that are comprehensive and mitigate potential risks for the company
  • Require vendors and manufacturers to provide products compliant with applicable government regulations, laws and requirements
  • Review vendor quotes and specifications to ensure they meet the criteria required

    • Qualifications :

  • Significant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, product development, and / or project management
  • Hotel FF&E experience is preferred
  • Able to travel occasionally in the US and internationally
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with complex contracts
  • Demonstrable high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • High-level analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on several initiatives at a time and keep track of all effectively through to completion
  • Communication / presentation skills to effectively convey concepts to all levels of audiences

    • Anticipated salary range :

    85,000.00 - $110,000.00, but will be based on experience, industry knowledge, education, abilities and other applicable factors. Performance-based bonus plan may be established in the future. Actual salary offered may vary outside of this range based on our evaluation.

    Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
