Weekend BHT / Recreational Facilitator, Addiction Treatment Center

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Weekend Behavioral Health Tech / Recreation Facilitator to join our team. As a Weekend BHT, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with addiction and mental health. On the weekend we get the clients out for a recreational activity such as hikes, disc golf, beach, and swimming. On Sundays, BHT will typically take the clients and to church or 12 step meeting.

This is a part-time position, specifically for weekends. Saturday and Sundays 7-3pm

Valiant is a small substance abuse treatment center located in Punta Gorda Florida, offering detox, inpatient and out patient services. We are a Christian owned company, following Christ based principles with integrated faith based recovery options.

Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, meal preparation, and medication observation
- Implement behavior support plans and strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Provide social support and engage individuals in recreational activities outside our facility (nature walk, parks, church ect..)
- Collect data on individual progress and behaviors, report to EMR.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals

Requirements:
- Experience working with addiction/mental health
- Ability to observe medication self administration following proper protocols and guidelines (training provided)
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and the healthcare team
- Ability to maintain professionalism, empathy, and patience in challenging situations
- Basic knowledge of data collection methods and documentation procedures

Must have valid driver's license

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
