We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Bilingual Vehicle Service Advisor who is fluent in both English and Spanish to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between our customers and our service department, ensuring an exceptional customer service experience. You will be responsible for managing service appointments, communicating with customers regarding their vehicle service needs, and ensuring their satisfaction with our service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain the reason for their visit.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in both English and Spanish.
- Act as a liaison between customers and service technicians.
- Service Coordination:
- Schedule service appointments and accurately record customer information.
- Create detailed work orders and ensure all necessary information is obtained from the customer.
- Keep customers informed about their vehicle's status and estimated completion times.
- Technical Support:
- Explain service recommendations and associated costs to customers in a clear, concise manner.
- Offer technical advice and answer questions regarding vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Facilitate the approval process for additional work needed, ensuring customers understand the necessity and cost.
- Sales and Upselling:
- Promote and sell additional services and products that may benefit the customer’s vehicle performance and longevity.
- Provide cost estimates and offer promotions or discounts where applicable.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and ensure all customer information is up-to-date.
- Prepare and review service reports, estimates, and invoices.
- Handle payment transactions and process payments accurately.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with service technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of repairs.
- Collaborate with parts department to ensure the availability of required parts for service.
Qualifications:
- Language Skills:
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Customer Service Representative, or similar role in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in using service management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Customer Service Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily in an office setting within the service department.
- Regular interaction with customers in a face-to-face setting, over the phone, and via email.
- May require standing, walking, and occasionally lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
