Fleet Manager – Dayton, Ohio
Valicor Environmental Services is looking for a Fleet Manager at our Dayton, Ohio facility
Our Minimum Requirements for this Position:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in fleet transportation/logistics at a supervisor level or above.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively multi-task, while working in high-stress situations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Responsibilities:
- Directs and dispatches fleet activities, including planning and scheduling driver routes.
- Oversees the entire fleet maintenance program for Dayton, Ohio.
- Conducts weekly planning and coordination to develop route plans for the upcoming week, to include coordination with internal and external parties.
- Makes adjustments to driver schedules and routes based upon capacity to optimize runs.
- Utilizes creativity and quick thinking to make decisions on last minute scheduling.
- Serves as first-line of communication for all transportation related issues.
- Works independently to resolve issues and communicates accordingly when additional input is needed.
- Provides exceptional, timely customer service at all times to internal and external customers with respect to planning, scheduling, troubleshooting and unexpected issues.
- Remains up to date on DOT requirements, and other regulations as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring drivers are properly trained on Company safety policies and procedures.
Successful candidates must pass the Pre-Screening process if offered this position. This includes a criminal background check, drug screen, and MVR check (if applicable for the position).
