Industrial Services Field Supervisor - Inkster

The Industrial Services Field Supervisor assists the Industrial Services Manager or Lead Supervisor in all the operations of the IS Division within company guidelines, while adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations.  Additionally, this position is ultimately responsible for supervising support staff and actively working on job sites. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that health and safety is the top priority by having teammates and subcontractors comply with all safety policies, practices, and processes; as well as having all required safety certifications.
• Document and investigate all accidents, injuries, and property damage per Company policy.
• Recruit, train, and develop Industrial Services team.
• Identify and implement cost savings strategies. 
• Perform walk-throughs at potential job sites to determine the equipment and personnel required to perform the job. 
• Supervise projects to ensure DOT and OSHA compliance.
• Supervise all aspects of projects to ensure profitability is achieved.
• Manage all aspects of maintaining equipment and trucks. 
• Maintain a high sense of urgency within a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Services experience
    Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
• Hazwoper 40-hour certification, and Confined Space Training must be obtained within 30 days (if not already completed)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams 
• Daily travel to job sites
• Must be able to work extended hours and variable shifts, as required
• Must be able to respond to emergencies after hours; including weekends, as required
• Distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty
• Must be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, dusty, and wet conditions for extended periods of time
• Must be able to wear protective clothing such as respirators, safety glasses, steel toe-shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection
• Must be able to operate light and heavy equipment, including skid steers, forklifts, Skytrak, etc.
• Must be able to climb ladders, work from stationary platform and from elevated heights and confined spaces.  

Successful candidates must pass the Pre-Screening process if offered this position.   This includes a criminal background check, drug screen, and MVR check (if applicable for the position).
