This Director, Sales position manages the entire process of sales per specific geo assigned. This position requires extensive background, experience, and a proven track record of success in sales with multi-product offerings, both import and export, air and ocean, logistics, customs brokerage, drayage, surface transportation, and insurance among many others. This Director position is responsible for direct sales, building the team (recruitment, training, coaching), managing the division’s revenue goal, and serving as a liaison between the sales division, Operations, KAM, and Marketing.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Manage to achieve the company financial goals.
- Direct sales through prospecting, hunting, and closing via value proposition.
- Act as an ambassador of the company core culture.
- Manage recruitment of necessary Business Development team members, onboard them, educate them, and coach them throughout the process.
- Manage a team of Business Development professionals, ensuring that each member contributes to division goals by monitoring the sales pipeline progress, conducting joint sales calls, supporting closing efforts, and providing necessary tools from the company standpoint.
- Oversee the onboarding of new clients and monitor the progress of account handover to ensure that every client is fully and seamlessly transitioned to KAM.
- Manage internal issues among departments through communication, brainstorming, and collaboration. Monitor communication to and from clients to ensure it meets company expectations.
- Articulate internal issues, study, and present solutions to the team for overall company improvement.
- Investigate market intelligence through multiple channels, such as competitors, market trends, pricing, and vendors, while maintaining close communication with the Marketing department.
- Develop creative plans and initiatives to align operations with existing and prospective clients.
QUALIFICATIONS / CONDITIONS
EDUCATIONAL
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics and Supply Chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.
Completion of any industry-related course is an asset.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Extensive freight forwarding background with a proven track record in sales, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
