This Information Technology (IT) Manager is responsible for managing a comprehensive agency-wide information technology program to ensure ongoing effective and efficient use of computer technology and information systems. Develops and implements strategic plans for information systems. Conceptualizes, evaluates, and implements information technology strategies, plans, and priorities for a comprehensive agency-wide information technology program.

Essential Functions
- Lead the Information Technology function on behalf of Covenant House Alaska, including hardware, software, AV systems, phones, and security (badge / camera) systems.
- Work with appropriate department heads to establish the procedures necessary for the IT Department to support the organization, including on and offboarding, security, training, updates, patches, and change management.
- Set standards for hardware, software and services, such as the basic configuration for a new user’s computer.
- Execute and extend IT strategy, including creation of project plans, time schedules, equipment and cost estimates for short, medium, and long-term applications. Maintain Agency 3 Year IT Roadmap.
- Develop and maintain Covenant House Alaska’s IT network architecture.
- Ensure all technology systems and hardware are up to date.
- Ensure necessary software updates, advanced troubleshooting, security, compatibility testing, programming, implementation and system integration, and cyber-security.
- Develop, maintain and implement information technology policies, guidelines and best practices.
- Serve as the primary liaison with agency IT vendors and contractors.
- Set and manage Agency hardware replacement schedule within the allotted budget.
- Provide verbal and written recommendations for plans and budgets based on assessed needs and strategic plans.
- Ensure information security within all IT and mobile communications related activities.
- Provide appropriate business process support through usage of CHA’s IT systems.
- Provide computer hardware, training, support and troubleshooting to staff as needed.
- Coordinate and schedule training for all staff in the use of technology, either creating the training materials or working with training consultants.
- Oversee network administration, backup and security protocols.
- In preparation for an emergency, oversee the development of a business continuity plan and disaster recovery strategy in coordination with the Agency’s Emergency Action Plan.
- Provide oversight to IT intern, as needed.
- Provide Level 1 Helpdesk support, as needed.
- Keep supervisor fully informed.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, with emphasis in Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Experience can substitute for post-secondary education on a year-for-year basis.
Progressive experience working with advanced level information technology systems for 3-5 years or equivalent is preferred. Live experience considered an asset.
