Systems Engineer

Job Responsibilities :

• Actively participate in the full product life-cycle including requirements gathering and analysis, specification and design, prototyping, software integration, production release, and testing.
• Generate documentation to support the design and verification of completed designs including schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.
• Develop test procedures and reports, production test procedures, and component specifications.
• Monitor the effectiveness of engineering changes.
• Develop Windows and Linux-based software for personal computers, embedded devices, and / or handheld devices.
• Create specifications and design test equipment to be used in the production environment as part of the manufacturing process.
• Design electronic circuitry with the aid of schematic capture software and PC board layout software.
• Design FPGA architectures including complete System-On-Chip platforms and custom IP components using HDL and supplier-specific tools.
• Interface with personnel including PC board layout personnel, component vendors, production assembly personnel, production test personnel, and quality personnel.
• Maintain technical knowledge of all company products.
• Develop test equipment and procedures to support certification efforts.
• Develop lab systems to streamline development.
• Monitor product failure rates and performance metrics by coordinating with production.
• May travel, as required, to accommodate above duties.
