ValidaTek is seeking a highly qualified Program Manager to support a United States Coast Guard (USCG) program. Support services include cross collaboration between USCG, DHS and DoD offices, software application and engineering, application operations and maintenance. Further, the PM will be required to work collaboratively with other contractors and federal personnel outside of USCG and DHS.
The Program Manager will operate on site and be the central POC for the government on all issues associated with the program. The PM will manage the timeliness, completeness, and quality of services and deliverables in addition to developing and executing on corrective action plans, timely identification of issues, and effective management of subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage project plans, timelines and deliverables.
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc Program reviews
- Experience leading IT projects managing over (50) people on multiple Agile teams.
- Experience in leading medium to large IT projects focused on modernization of an application.
- Experience in assisting a Program Manager in working with the Government COR(s), Product Owners, Government technical personnel and/or customer agency representatives.
- Experience in IT projects for government public sector offices
- Communicate schedules and deliverables in a concise manner and ensure that deadlines are met.
- Conduct business process analysis in order to identify and define program efficiencies and cost saving measures.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors in the performance of program related activities
- Track status of existing issues and identify new issues and risks.
- Act as a central point of contact for all communications relating to the project(s).
- Be available during all working hours to address client needs
- Prepare and present briefings to government leadership on the overall health and operating condition of the client’s mission applications/services.
- Coordinate with Sr Corporate staff as to the condition of the program from a both a financial and technical aspect
- Identify opportunities for organic growth
- Maintain staffing levels prescribed by the contract
- Coordinate with other offices with corporate structure to identify additional resources that may develop and resent innovations/enhancement to the existing client architecture
Qualifications
- Active PMP certification
- At least 10 years of Program Management experience on similar size and scope technical programs, with a focus on Agile development
- BA/BS or degree.
- Must be able to obtain DHS/EOD suitability. Active DHS/EOD suitability – preferred.
- Experience in assisting a Program Manager in working with the Government COR(s), Product Owners, Government technical personnel and/or customer agency representatives.
- Previous USCG IT experience - preferred
- Experience with data reporting intensive client tasking environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive, technical staff, and non-technical staff.

USD $150,000.00/Yr.Posted Max Pay Rate
USD $185,000.00/Yr.Salary Disclosure
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance.
