Home Health Aide (HHA)

Job Summary
The Home Health Aide plays a crucial role in providing essential support to individuals in their homes, ensuring they receive the care and assistance needed to maintain their quality of life. This position involves working closely with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate care tailored to each individual's needs.

Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient compliance.
- Provide personal care and support for individuals with long-term care needs, including those with dementia or developmental disabilities.
- Conduct patient observations to monitor health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with mobility and physical exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Support hospice care by providing comfort and companionship to patients nearing the end of life.
- Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of home health practices.
- Strong background in patient care, particularly in long-term care settings.
- Experience in dementia care and the ability to engage effectively with individuals experiencing cognitive decline.
- Familiarity with home care systems and protocols for patient observation.
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring high-quality care.

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $17.92 - $18.59 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
