POSITION: Mobile Application Developer
Location: Remote
Salary: $40.00 /HR

REPORTS TO: Manager, Business Applications

GENERAL SUMMARY: We are seeking a junior to mid level mobile developer. The mobile application developer is responsible and committed to the design, development, modification and maintenance of the mobile app and connected systems to support the organization mission and vision. The developer must have the ability to demonstrate and apply creative problem solving capabilities, sophisticated design while adhering to quality and best design practices. The developer should have the ability to analyze, design, implement and maintain the mobile application and its supporting technologies .

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Ensures that solutions are developed based on best practices as defined by Precept and industry standards.
2. Reviews, designs, edits and assures quality control of code changes throughout the SDLC.
3. Design, build and implement efficient, reusable and reliable code for the mobile application, API server, and supporting systems.
4. Works closely with the product team to improve mobile app design and functionality. Ability to understand and translate application requirements into functional applications.
5. Develops APIs to support functionality of mobile devices.
6. Implement testing procedures to identify bugs, and ability to improve and resolve bugs.
7. An active participant in the technical design and architectural discussions to map technical requirements to end user requirements.
8. Enhances, modifies and maintains existing applications with some supervision as directed by senior staff members.
9. Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.
10. Assists the Technology functional area with other tasks as needed.
11. Arrives in a timely fashion to be ready and prepared to begin work at the scheduled time, including breaks and meal periods.
12. Begins each workday by joining requisite staff prayer and Bible study, by actively participating and ensuring the same of departmental team members and leaders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the software development field, knowledge relating to the area in which analysis and coding is performed.
2. 2 years of experience developing mobile applications. (MUST HAVE!)
3. 2 years of experience and proficient with use of React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS. (MUST HAVE!)
4. 2 years of experience coding against web APIs required (REST, JSON, GraphQL) (MUST HAVE!)
5. Demonstrated understanding and use of SDLC required.
6. 1 years of experience in Full Stack Development desired.
7. Experience with NodeJS, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Sequelize, SQL, Firebase, Contentful, and data structuring desired.
8. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while utilizing proper time management skills.
9. Proven ability to work well as a team member on cross-functional teams completing tasks in scope and on target.
10. Ability to listen, provide solutions, and reconsider positions when needed. Handles the giving and receiving of instruction and criticism with professional tact.
11. Strong proofreading, grammar and copywriting skills.
12. Highly organized self-starter with a desire to learn new technologies.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

BA/BS from an accredited university with 2 to 4 years of experience working in an enterprise application development capacity. Good organizational and analytical skills.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS :
Light work: Exerting minimal force consistently to move objects less than 10 lbs.
