Vallejo City Unified School District seeks High School Science Teacher for the District in Vallejo, CA. Pos involves teaching (grades 9-12) science to pupils, utilizing course of study adopted by Board of Ed other approp learning activities. Prov planned learning exp in order to motivate pupils and best utilize the available time for instruction. Estab maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. Eval pupil’s academic social growth, keep approp records, prep prog reports, commun w/ parents on pupil’s progress. Ident pupil needs coop w/ other staff members in assessing helping pupils solve health, attitude learning problems. Create w/ assistance from pupils a functional environment for learning through displays, bulletin boards interest centers. Perf basic attend accounting bus services as req’d. Select requisition books, instructional aids supplies maintain req’d inventory records. Insure comfortable room environment. Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities during assigned work day. Admin group standardized tests in accord w/ district testing prog. Partic in curric develpmntl prog within school of assign or on district lvl. Share in sponsorship of student active partic in faculty committees. May plan coord work of aides, TA other paraprofessionals. Partic w/ prof staff memb in soc hygiene outdoor ed prog. May undergo standard prehire background checks. Salary range $56,695 - $105,505. Must have Bach in Bio, Chem, Health Sci, or rel sci field, and hold (or be eligible for) relevant CA Educator certificate.
