The Department Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our store. As a Department Lead, you will oversee the operations of your assigned department, ensuring it meets company standards and exceeds customer expectations. You will serve as the go-to person for both customers and store staff, providing expert knowledge and assistance.

General Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage customers with a helpful attitude, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
• Maintain the operation and performance of assigned departments in line with company expectations.
• Oversee the work of Store Associates, ensuring their tasks are completed to company standards.
• Act as the manager on duty when assigned, handling customer inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
• Uphold policies and procedures related to store cleaning, product stocking, and merchandising.
• Contribute to store tasks and operational items as required by business needs.
• Complete ongoing trainings to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Support store services as needed and inspect employee execution as appropriate.
• Assist with Department Merchandising resets.
• Maintain any certifications required to the general function of the role.

**Ability to exert moderate, though not constant, physical effort - typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.

***Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 40 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Requires the ability to move heavier objects with assistance.

***Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly valued

***Forklift Certification a plus
