Job Overview
We are a companion animal, AAHA-accredited veterinary clinic seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team of 4 doctors. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality veterinary care, work with a collaborative team of doctors and staff, and have a passion for continued learning and developing skills. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and educating pet owners on proper care and treatment options. Either full-time or part time veterinarians can apply. We work 4 days per week, with no weekends of after hours on-call responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any conditions.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
- Perform surgical procedures with precision and care.
- Provide emergency veterinary care when necessary.
- Utilize animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the animal and staff during examinations and treatments.
- Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary terminology.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state veterinary license to practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
- A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
