Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs in a friendly and professional manner.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain an organized and clean counter area to enhance customer experience.
- Utilize retail math to manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding automotive diagnostics and related products.
- Handle customer inquiries via phone with excellent phone etiquette, ensuring all questions are answered effectively.
- Negotiate terms of sale when necessary to meet customer needs while adhering to company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall store performance.
- Keep records of sales, returns, and inventory using Excel or other software as needed.
- Assist in training new staff members on counter operations and customer service best practices.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Must have one year experience in a previous automotive setting.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clear driving record.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred, one year required.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with customers over the phone.
- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to a diverse customer base.
