Window Treatment Sales Consultant

Valley Blinds, LLC is Northeast PA’s local window treatment experts! We specialize in custom-made window blinds, shutters, and drapery. Our professional Design Team provides homeowners with expert guidance selling the highest quality products. We manage all aspects of our clients' projects from the creative concept through the ordering process and installation.

Essential Job Functions

We are looking for an experienced “Independent” (1099) representative with advanced knowledge on in-home sales.

• Conduct in-home design appointments alongside customers and match our premium collection of custom shades, drapes, blinds and shutters to customers’ style preferences and functional needs.
• Close sales opportunities by building a genuine rapport with customers and demonstrate key features and benefits of our products and service offerings.
• Use innovative digital selling tools and standards to measure, record, and configure specifications accurately and efficiently.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is a requirement, college degree or some college coursework is preferred.
• In-home or outside sales experience preferably in custom products/services.
• Experience in a retail environment, preferably in home furnishings and décor.
• Proficiency using computer software applications and ability to learn new technology and systems.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance coverage.
• Passion for design, sales and building lifetime customer relationships.

Job Conditions

• Each designer will have access to their schedule as the leads are scheduled.
• One lead can run between 30 minutes – 5 hours. Maximum leads per day: 3.
• When not servicing company-provided leads, work from comfort of home
• Job may require bending, stooping, lifting to 35 pounds (samples), although most of our samples are less than 10 pounds each and housed in a briefcase style carrying case.

Travel

• Travel is within Northeast PA (Counties: Luzerne, Lackawanna, Wyoming, Monroe, Columbia, Wayne, Schuylkill, Carbon)
• Transportation is MANDATORY.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
